OCDC Statistics

OCDC Statistics are updated daily, weekly and monthly. This information is subject the change by the hour. This is only a snapshot of the data taken at a specific time.

Here are some things to keep in mind when reading these statistics. The Daily Head Count number is started by staff two times a day. The one we use for this report is the overnight count. The count begins at 6pm each evening and takes and can take up to 6 hours to complete. During that time, we will have booked in and/or released a lot of people. This email is sent out in the morning, during which time many people are being booked at released. In other words, the number goes up and down all the time and the numbers you are seeing on the chart is a snapshot of a specific period the previous day.   For example, since this report was completed, starting at midnight until 9 am this morning we have booked in 19 and released 11 people.

J&S - This refers to Judgment and Sentence. That is the number of residents who have received their sentence and are awaiting transport to the department of correction.

Residents w/ Detainers/Hold – This refers to residents who have holds from other agencies. It can be a hold for the department of corrections, OCPD, other counties or Immigration. Many of these are because an agency is asking us to call them before the resident is released to make sure they are not wanted on other charges.
