About the Role
General Job Duties and Responsibilities Include the following but are not limited to:
Observe resident behavior during meal pass, commissary dispersal, medication pass, and clothing change out. Call central control/ camera ops and shift commander for emergency assistance when needed. Document recreation times in and time out. Document cell(s) that came out for recreation. Research and look up basic information for residents. Document description of the food served to residents. Document all entries and exits of each pod including resident names leaving and returning from work duties. Document resident housing reassignments, new residents, resident releases, legal mail passed out, and residents taken out of pod for court, arraignments, criminal interviews, and/ or any other reason. Monitor suicidal resident activity. Document, in logbooks, sight checks for suicidal residents with 15-minute requirements. Fill out suicidal resident behavior on 15-minute observation sheets. Fill out resident daily activity log for special housing residents. Complete incident reports as needed. Keep pod offices clean and remove paperwork and trash at the end of each shift. Ensure pod office documentation is posted and submit non-working cell reports, through the chain of command, to classifications. Inspect security exit doors and fire/emergency exits daily. Ensure residents are locked down by the end of shift. Ensure all maintenance issues are submitted. Notify shift commander of any suspicious activity within the pod or on the floor. Coordinate and implement activities for housing units. Receive pass-on from shift commanders.

Minimum Qualifications Required
Must be 18 years of age
A high school diploma or equivalent
Must have a valid driver’s license
Complete/pass a background check and drug screening
No felony conviction
Ability to work in a loud and sometimes chaotic environment
Available to work days, nights, weekends, holidays, or other special shifts
Stand or sit for extended periods
Lift, squat, bend, and climb stairs
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Proficient in data entry and use of relevant software applications
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work under pressure and handle sensitive situations with professionalism
About the Company
Housing Monitor

Job details
Pay
Starting Pay $34,416.12 annual pay
All staff will get up to $500.00 quarterly bonuses
Recruitment bonus - $2500, 50% payable at 1 year, 50% payable at 2 year - not contingent on good performance and attendance. Retroactive to January 1, 2024. For new employee only - not a referral bonus.
Longevity - $300 each year of service at anniversary up to $1500 (5 years of service) - not contingent on performance (if they're a problem, it's on us for retaining them)
Meal Employee Program.
Up to $500 performance bonus each quarter. Performance goals set by administration for each quarter. May be awarded based on a variety of requirements including attendance, goal attainment, etc.
