Computer infrastructure Project Ongoing

OKLAHOMA CITY (Nov. 1, 2023) –The Oklahoma County Detention Center is currently in the process of upgrading our computer infrastructure system at the jail. During this time, we have experienced longer than expected delays in the booking and releasing process. This process is expected to take several more days to complete. We are transitioning the system off the county’s network and onto our own network. The upgrade is designed to increase efficiency in the entire system. This will allow us to be more efficient in all areas including documenting sight checks as well as reducing the overall consumption of paper. At all times we strive to book and release individuals in a timely manner. Currently, all the computers in the receiving and releasing area are operational. We will update the media if this changes as well as when the project is completed. Please direct anyone with questions or issues with getting someone bonded out to call the jail so we can address those.
